About the Practice

The Practice is solely owned by Dr Michael Ryan who qualified at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield in 1977 with the degree Batchelor of Dental Surgery and who has registered continuously since 1977. Dr Ryan has been practicing at Lavender Close Dental Practice since 1979.

The Practice is situated in a bungalow in Lavender Close, off of King George Road in Walderslade. The location of the surgery provides ample parking facilities and is accessible to wheelchairs.

With extensive postgraduate study, highly trained support staff and state of the art technology  we provide a very high quality of dental care. We strongly support equality, diversity and the Human Rights Act.

BDA Good Practice

In October 2004 the Practice was delighted to receive the BDA Good Practice Award. In order to become members of the British Dental Associations Good Practice Scheme we have;

• Carefully looked at the service that we provide for our patients and compared it against nationally recognised standards of good practice for patient care. There are 96 aspects that we have to check
• Prepare a dossier about our practice to show how we are meeting the Good Practice Scheme's requirements. The BDA asked to see this before we could join the Scheme.
• Agreed to let Good Practice Scheme inspectors visit the practice whenever they want to.
• Continue to carry out our own internal checks on working methods.

In 2010 we were awarded the BDA Good Practice Silver Award.
